TheMafiaNetwork (TMN) - Terms Of Services (TOS)

Welcome to The Mafia Network! Before you register for your TMN account, you must read and agree to this TMN Terms of Service and the following terms and conditions, including any future amendments (collectively, the “Agreement”):

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
The Mafia Network (“TMN”, “Administrators”, “we”, “us”) welcomes you. TMN provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms of Service (“TOS”). We reserve the right to modify the TOS whenever necessary with or without notice. Please review the TOS often so that you will be apprised of any changes. By using the service provided by TMN, you agree to the TOS, and its terms and conditions. You can view the most current version of the TOS at any time at: http://themafianetwork.net/tos.htm


2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
The Mafia Network (TMN) provides users with access to an online service, presented in form of an interactive, text-based game. You understand and agree that the Service may include advertisements and that these advertisements are neccessary for TMN to provide the Service. In addition, you understand and agree that the Service is provided on an as is and as available basis. TMN disclaims all responsibility and liability for the availability, timeliness, security or reliability of the Service. TMN disclaims all responsibility and liability for the timeliness, deletion, delay or failure to store any user communications or personalization settings. This service (TMN) is provided as a beta version, which means we absolutely have the rights to make necessary changes with or without major improvements to the service. We may modify or terminate game services from time to time, for any reason, and without notice. This includes the right to terminate the game with or without notice, without liability to you, any other user or any third party. We also reserve the right to change any content (this includes any rules, game content, or any other content based on the service of TMN) with or without notice or any liability to you. You also agree to pay attention to service news and any messages announced by TMN staff members.


3. CREDITS
The user can use Paypal's secure online payment system to donate to TMN to, as a thanks for the donation, obtain Credits. Money from the credits are donations used for servers maintenance. Credits are used to buy special items in the Credits Shop (a feature of the Service). For more information on how to receive or use credits, please refer to the TMN Frequently Asked Questions (“FAQs”). The credits shop feature is accessible from the link “Credits” in the game menu. All donations from Credits will go to the game creator, also the person who is in charge of TMN. The game creator will use this money to cover expenses and provide improvements to the service. If the donator chooses to cancel the payment after receiving the credits, we reserve the right ban the donator, and/or any relating account(s), and/or ban the IP address of referred account(s), and/or any other necessary actions that we see appropriate.
  • a) Credits Use and Sales
    Users are fully responsible for their own credits and how they are used. Users may choose to sell or trade Credits for TMN money or other goods of TMN only. We have made a secure credits - TMN money trading system for you to trade credits with other players. To avoid scam, do not use Credits Transfer option.

  • b) Credits Scams
    Any attempts to sell credits while not having any will not be tolerated. Any users found doing this either in public on the forums or privately through inboxes will result in an immediate ban of the user’s account, and any subsequent accounts that credits or money were sent to due to the false sale. Once Credits or TMN Money is transferred, the user gives up all rights to the goods. No refunds will be given by TMN or any of the TMN staff.

4. SERVICE ADMINISTRATION
Moderators are chosen by the game owner and are not bound by the TOS. Instead, moderators are bound by the Moderator’s Code of Conducts (MCOC). They are in charge of TMN and reserve the right to kill/ban/IP-ban any user, who is violating the TOS in any way. Administrator(s) are allowed to access your account for security/investigation, or other purposes that they feel appropriate. Moderators and administrator(s) are also in charge of moderating the forum(s). There are also Forum Moderators, who are in charge of the forum(s) only. Forum Moderators are still subjects to TMN Terms of Services.

Forum Moderators are not allowed to use their special privileges to unreasonably delete other player’s thread/reply, or make sticky/important threads that are not official. Violators of this term will lose special forum privileges, and/or be subject to banning, according to the game owner’s judgment.


5. INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER (ISP)
You are responsible for obtaining access to TMN and that access may involve third party fees (such as Internet service provider or airtime charges). You are responsible for those fees, including those fees associated with the display or delivery of advertisements. In addition, you must provide and are responsible for all equipment necessary to access TMN.


6. REGISTRATION POLICIES
Registration of an account with TMN requires you to provide us with accurate, current and complete information about yourself, as asked on the Registration page. You must provide us with your current e-mail address, which will be a contact method to be used between you and us. Providing an invalid or incurrent email address will lead to deletion/ban of account immediately, with or without notification.


7. COMMUNICATION POLICIES
Users are fully responsible for what they post or say on the forums, post in their profiles, or say in their private messages. Players are not allowed to post any pornography, or porn-related materials including any media files showing nudity. Players are forbidden to post any racist remarks or files. You are not allowed to disrespect any religion or group of people. Including (but not limited to) races and religions. Users are not allowed to post any advertisements or links to other games. In addition, users are responsible to report to TMN staff members any of such violation you see on the Forums/Profiles/Private Messages. Any violations of the above will result in the banning, killing or IP-banning of the account(s) involved. Moderators and Administrators reserve the right to delete any topic/thread on the game forum at any time with or without notice.


8. USE OF GAME FORUM
The TMN Game Forum, and/or other forum(s) has guidelines posted and they will be enforced. Users are not allowed to post any advertisements or links to other games. There is also a topic for Car sales and Car Racing advertisements; this is the only place for these to be posted. Organized Crime topics are NOT permitted on the game forum in any way; directly or indirectly asking for an OC is forbidden. The credit verification button is to be used for credit sales only, and not allowed to be used in the main Game Forum, any locked topic, or any other topic not associated with the sale. Spamming of the forum by either multiple topics or multiple posts is not allowed. Any violations of the above will result in a ban of the user's account with no exceptions. TMN does not condone nor endorse any discussion regarding Warez, software serial numbers, or any type of illegal downloading. TMN also does not condone nor endorse any topics regarding the use of or discussion of drugs or other illegal activities. Any such topics that violate any of these terms will be deleted and anyone entering in this type of discussion are subject to a ban of any type (forum ban/account ban).


9. GAME FEATURES
Players are fully responsible to report bug(s) that they encounter during the game. Exploiting of the bug, spreading, and/or denial of reporting the bug(s) will lead to deletion/ban (of any kind) of the account. Players are also responsible for what they bet on casino games and their uses of TMN money or other properties. No money or property will be refunded, except in the case of a verified bug and approved for refund (of game money/property) by the game owner.

Players are fully responsible for what happens to their money/properties, we will never give out any amount of money for any reason, except in the case of a verified bug and refund approved by the game owner. Users are solely responsible if your money or properties are scammed by another player.

Cheating and/or any form of illegal access to the game features are absolutely prohibited in the service of TMN. The following are considered but not limited to cheating and/or illegal access:
  • Using any kind of program/script which automatically does crimes, GTA or any other game activities.
  • Having multiple accounts. (Duplicates)
  • Exploiting a bug in the game to make money, gain properties, and or make harms to any other players, or to the game itself.
  • Selling accounts or properties (including money/credits) of another game on the forums, and or trading other game properties for TMN properties and vice versa. The selling or trading of any TMN item including but not limited to money, credits, properties, cars for anything outside of TMN is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to other games or services of any type not directly associated with TMN.

10. PRIVACY POLICY
TMN collects personal information when you register as a player. When you use TMN products or services, when you visit TMN pages and when you participate in any of services provided by the game itself or the website of TMN.

  • When you register your account, we may ask for personal information. Once you register with TMN and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
  • TMN automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, TMN cookie(s) information, and the page you request.
  • TMN uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the advertising and content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, conduct research, and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.
  • TMN does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, unless when we have your permission or under circumstances that the laws allow us to do so. No Moderator or Administrator will release or reveal your personal information to anyone at any time, this might include you when you for any reason lost access to the e-mail address you used to register the account.
  • TMN has rights to set and access TMN cookies (only cookies that are set by TMN website) on your computer.
  • TMN Administrator(s) has the right to check your private messages and your personal notepad, if we have reason(s) to suspect any violation of the TOS.

11. ACCOUNTS
  • As mentioned above, no more than one active (alive and not banned) account is allowed per player.
  • Users are ONLY allowed to access their own account. Sharing of accounts is not permitted. Logging on to someone else’s account is not permitted. Anyone caught on someone else’s account is subject to the killing and/or banning of both/all accounts on the IP address at the sole discretion of the Administrator/Moderator.
  • No interactions of any kind with players that are sharing or have shared a common IP. This includes but is not limited to the IP used to register the account(s) or any IP used to access the account(s). This includes transfers of any kind (Credits/Money/Bullets/Properties/Cars), doing OC together and any other activities that are concidered harmful to other players, to the game play, or to the game itself. Interaction between 2 players on the same IP through a 3rd player on another IP are not allowed either, this may result in a ban of all accounts who held the goods (depending on how serious the violation was).
  • Players are fully responsible for what they do with their passwords and/or usernames, we are not responsible for your passwords, which are encrypted safely in the database, which no one except for Administrators can access. We advise players to not use the password used on our service for any other service.
  • The TMN staff will not be responsible for any actions by players that result in the hacking or killing of an account, this includes visiting any website by clicking a link provided through the service, or completely outside it. We advise players to log out of the service before visiting websites they don't recognize.
  • If a user’s account gets hacked or accessed by another player, TMN is not responsible for the undoing of any results of said hacking. This includes the return of any Money, Credits, Cars, Properties and any other goods of TMN, as well as, the revival of killed (suicided) accounts or un-banning of the account. Once reported, Administrators or Moderators will investigate and ban any users involved directly or indirectly in said hacking.
  • Accounts that have been banned for any reason lose all rights to any Money, Credits, Cars, Properties or any other game possessions remaining on the account.
  • Accounts that have been killed lose all rights to any Money, Cars, Properties or any other game possessions on the account with the exception of Credits. Users may use the Help Request Centre to get any remaining credits on the dead account transferred to their new account. This new account must be registered on the same e-mail address the old account was registered on, if this is not the case no moderator or administrator will not transfer the credits to the new account. There will be NO exceptions to this.
